I have a sense that I have asked about these here in the past...but a search doesn't yield confirmation of that belief.
I've Googled, including images, to no avail. I've shown these at Gun & Knife shows for maybe 10-15 years, with similar results. Nobody, it seems, has ever heard of Mr. R. Lima...tho' many have commented favorably about this pair.
They're ~8 1/2' long, with a ~4 1/8" wedge-ground carbon steel blade. The grips are a fine-grained hardwood of unknown species.
I'm about to gift them to an old friend who feeds me good, aged beefsteaks fairly often, but has a poor selection of kitchen cutlery. I'm sure he'll appreciate, an' use 'em (especially if I remind him...)
I will be very grateful to have any background information y'all can offer about this maker an' his production, particularly dates of his knife making career.
Thanks for lookin!
