baldor speed control dc

A friend just gave me a control the model# BC 140. Would anyone know if it can interface with a 1 1/2 hp motor????

With a speed control that I have you have to change a resistor as you increase motor horsepower, information is on the inside of the housing. I think mine is Leeson.

I. G. ; the baldor BC140 controller is rated for up to 2 h.p. It is usable on either 115 or 230 volts. The incoming line voltage detirmines the maximum output voltage, 115 in gives you 90 volts out and 230 in gives you 180 out. Over 1 hp requires 230 input. This unit has an internal hp resister and fuses that need to be changed for different hp applications. They are good inexpensive units. e mail me if I can help at alliedel@ pine-net.com
