Forged from 5160 steel, 0,5" thick flat bar, as a fun project Bowie knife.

It's 9/32" thick at the touchmark with a nice distal taper, tapered tang, and it feels great in the hand.
Rounded heel for more comfortable grip.
Flats are left raw, soaked in vinegar and wire brushed after forging.
After heat treatment, flats are brushed with scotch brite.
Bevels are made in satin finish with scotch brite. There are few tiny forging marks left on bevels.
False edge is not fully sharpened.

Tang tapers to - 5/64"
The knife weights 23 oz and with sheath is 32 oz
Handle material:
Beautiful piece of stag. Black G10 liners, hammered brass pins (2mm pins / 5/64")
Handmade 10oz vegetable tanned leather sheath, made for right hand vertical carry with detachable belt loop.
