Chopped various woods that have been outside for a few years, and the wood is covered in sand and dirt, which is one of the main reasons the Apex picks up damage. The Team Gemini's edge is at 17.3 dps exactly without a micro bevel. Sharpened using a lansky. About 4 times throughout the testing, I used a small 1cm x 10cm piece of leather to clean wood off of the Apex(one pass per side). The leather does not have compound on it, so it can't affect sharpness. Overall, I did 2000 chops on medium and hard woods. No damage, infi showed a very high level of edge retention(non abrasives). The edge cleanly shaves hair after the test, also cuts the newspaper print cleanly. Towards the end, though, I did struggle to go full force on my chops. About the last 40 was not like the first 1960. Lol
