Custom pommel for Tops SXB

I bought a Tops SXB and I wanted to make a pommel to improve the grip. This my experimental first try. It's unfinished because there are places where I should have used more material but I want to see if the concept worked.
Has anyone else out there tried this kind of thing?

Ya might have the mods move your question to the Makers section. Probably get more help over there.
