I had the camera in the shop today and I took a few pictures of the knives I have close to finished. This may be the brightest colored group I have ever done!

Siberian Jewelry grade Jade, Nacozzarri stabilized Turquoise, Mookaite, Fossil Coral, Willow Creek Jasper, Dinosaur Gembone, Bouse Az. Chrysocolla/Malachite, Vulture Mt Chrysocolla in Quartz and Vulture Mt. Shattuckite.

Note the new Stockman from Case that I am adding to the knives I use. It is called the "Workman" series and has thicker bolsters and a satin finish on the blades.

I took a few more pictures today. the first two show the difference in the new "workman" Case Stockman's blade finish and bolsters. The bolsters are now thicker and have a much more crisp shoulder. it does not look like much but it is a huge difference allowing me to keep the ramp from the bolster to the palm swell at least 33% thicker!

In addition you can see that the new blade has a satin finish which allows for me to do my work without the micro-scratches that the polished blades always seem to get or start with.

The other photos are the difference between where I stopped yesterday and finished today. I polished the metal today which is absolutely my least favorite part of doing a knife.

What is the on the bottom knife in the fourth picture of post #1? Looks fantastic from here.

That is a Buck 110 with Willow Creek Jasper scales. That piece was selected for me by the mine owner Larry Ridley. It has a slight purple tint to it and takes a glossy polish and pretty much has no texture to the stone.
