Looking for info on a Randall 1-8

My Randall books won't be here for a few more days an I haven't found a perfect source for dating Randall's online yet so I figured I would defer to the experts here. I have been offered this Randall 1-8 and as I am not normally a Randall collector I really am not sure on age. I thought maybe mid to early 50's. Let me know if more pictures are needed. The last photo shows remaining etch of some lettering. Maybe, "MIC" ? Assuming part of previous owners name. Thank you all in advance!

No worries mate, glad to help.
I'm not super knowledgeable on these older Randalls.
Going by the sheath maker, snaps, spacers etc, yours looks to be around the time frame you mentioned.
Others on here may chime in with a more exact date.
Nice piece, if only she could talk.

I am in the same boat. New to the early ones. Book still in the mail.
Over here learning and burning / trying anyway. With one 1946 2-8 in hand,
and a 1951 1-8" and 1953/54 1-6 in the mail.
The domed nut cap started in 1953, quick way to ck 53 and later.
