When I make a knife I want to include a poplar or oak box with the knife with chip-carved initials in the lid. Does anyone know what would be the best liner/filler material to go around the knife itself? I tried styrofoam, but white glue would not set up and hot glue just melted the styrofoam. I guess I could cut the outline of the knife out of wood leaving a hole to place the finished knife in. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks.......Rod
