Saddleback Briefcase as a backpack 24/7

I might seem a bit paranoid, but I've noticed some fraying in the thread on the leather near the backpack loop. The leather is riveted on, but I load my bag with books and use it everyday on my bicycle as a backpack and am worried that all the stress is on one small portion of the briefcase. Should I be worried?

It's made to take the weight, and if it ever breaks they'll fix it. But if you're wearing it as a backpack all the time, you may as well get one of their backpacks instead. It would be more comfortable.
