Hello, we've recetly made our first folding knife.
No cnc was used in this build even though some say you need a cnc to make a folder
This was without a doubt the most challenging project that we've worked on. There was a lot of filling and fitting of the mechanism, but we're pretty happy with the result. The knife is not perfect and has a couple of small errors, but it's just a prototype and we know exactly what to improve in the process to make it like we want it to be. The mechanism works pretty well and this is the strong part of the whole project. The defects are mainly aesthetical, the spacer could be fitted better and the small screws should be positioned further from the edge of the handle. We will also reduce the thickness of the spacer, the lock and the blade to 3.5 mm instead of 4.4 mm. This should significantly reduce the weight of the whole knife. With that said, this knife is not for sale
