It is indeed. I currently lack that Large Quality fixed blade for my go-bag. IF I had that knife, I'd have a check mark on my "need to get" list.

It arrived today, I immediately switched out the Orange scales for the FDE. It is much thicker/beefier/heavier than I expected which is a pleasant surprise. I can't explain how happy I am to be the new owner

Congrats nemesis, the fieldtac is an awesome blade. I checked a couple out at Blade Show last year at the Hinderer booth and had your same thoughts exactly. It was a lot thicker/beefier than I had imagined! Great piece brother :thumbup:
