K20 | Picture Gallery

Nathan, thank you for the update vis a vis the wood scales. As usual, very transparent, detailed and honest in every aspect regarding the information which can be shared.

Personally speaking with the K20, I rather wait out however long it takes before my number comes up and prefer that the wood scales are handled (pun) and installed at the Mothership. I have swapped a fair number of scales on my CPKs past, a practice which you may not be overly fond of, but with this one I would not like to mess around with. I will take the TTs on the side to go :)

Just my 2 Cs.

Really happy for you guys, living in enjoyment through your pics and excitement ❤️👍

And Grenock Grenock , those are just awesome 😎
Is that the wood you asked Nathan for when he showed off that block? Regardless, just AWESOME 👏😎

Most excellent thread DrBC DrBC , A+👍
Thanks brother! Those actually aren’t wood scales, as Nathan said, those haven’t been made yet that I am aware of. These are the only two sets of ECAM K20 scales made, certainly to this point, but likely ever. I don’t make the rules though, or the scales, so anyone is welcome to try their luck. I know if I see another set, however, I will be looking at someone who was willing to guzzle the custard to get them.
……..we use a precision laboratory scale……
Everyone else around Mooresville call this Tanto’s triple beam, but Nathan is nothing if not a cunning linguist.

Sexy ! Amazing knives and thanks for the photos all. Still glad I didn't get one - it would take less than 24h until I'd cut myself.

Any girl owners yet ? Just wondering.

Casinostocks Casinostocks is transitional and currently on hormone therapy. I hear his, I mean, her tits are coming in nicely and there is nothing to lop off as he was conveniently born with an innie instead of an outie. She and the sword should be about finished at the same time. Does that count, Roland?

Yeah, these really turned out really well. After the difficulties with the K18, I was afraid doing a long skinny blade like this with our heat treat process but we did some development work with Peters with the fixturing and have developed a process for keeping these straight.

Machining the K18 was a real bear, fixturing a complex multi-sided piece like this and getting everything just right is tricky.

I really exceeded my own expectations on this one. It's such a relief these turned out so well, I'm very proud of our accomplishment with this one. Some of our finest work.

Awesome! It looks fantastic

Can’t wait to check one out.

So the integral daggers are a piece of cake and you'll start pumping those out like popcorn?
